Dear Folks,

At Projectiondreams we have always designed a Cinema/Entertainment/Music room to the clients tastes both aesthetically,sonically and budgetary.

We have further fine tuned using our Cinema360 Expert Setup .

Now,we have further developed Cinema 360 to ensure clients preferences are precisely tailored.. 

What do I mean by this?

A rooms acoustics and layout- for example, are incredibly important to convey the correct emotion of whats being listened to or watched.

Have you ever walked past a bar and heard live music?  (*of course you have..)..its obvious its live music-and there is a very good reason for this.

Live music is uncompressed in the bass area specifically..recorded music is compressed and that compresses the bass down as well..

So,IF a room is designed correctly you can "adjust" to compensate for the compression to replicate more a "real event".

But we can go further...using the correct products and setup we can prepare a room for a clients specific tastes of music for example...a Jazz fan can have a room "tuned" for jazz and even have a specific memory setup on their controller...we can suggest the ideal equipment for Jazz.. 

We call this- S.P.R.-Specific Room Tuning..

Within S.P.R we shall have Optimal Preferences..

So,for example,a customers preference may be that his Music Room is optimal for Jazz & Blues and has an intimate club sound and feel..or his Entertainment room is optimal for gaming and has Immersive qualities..

Regardless of what other Audio Video purveyors may tell you,there is no speaker or Amplifier that sounds great with ALL material-if there were-there would only be one speaker and one amplifier in the world for sale!

In the Hi Fi community it`s long been known that equipment matching is critical to get a great sound..knowledge has always ensured that a clients musical preferences are catered for and the right equipment suggested...

..And different speaker technologies sound different..Horn speakers are very dynamic-that`s why they are used in all the top cinemas in the world..Electrostatics can be very detailed..Ribbons-expansive...and so on..

It is a fool that only touts one speakers and touts as great for everything.. (*and a bigger fool that believes it..) or indeed suggests the wrong speakers for the "application"....

The same applies with a listening room ..NOBODY has yet succeeded in building a consumer room that sounds optimal for Rock,Jazz,Blues,Orchestral and so on...yes,you can get decent all rounders at the highest price points-but its still a compromise..and we think,optimal beats compromise any day of the week...:-)

MISSED OPPORTUNITIES BY SOME REAL ESTATORS?

Dear Folks,

Currently i`m tearing my hair out at the current property situation..why?

Because a lot of Real Estate companies -with numerous unsold villas on their books-are selling the bargains but little else..

In a bad economic climate,what is the suggest to quickly sell?...REDUCE the price...

Indeed owners are immediately told to reduce the price IF they can`t sell it....this is -I would venture-somewhat naieve and no good to anyone really...the seller makes less..the agent makes less...

How can this be the best solution?

Sure,some villas are overpriced to start with,but astute developers are pitching the unique...all the "Toys"...and the unique can be PRICELESS for the right buyer...

IF I were a real estator I would try and sell the uniqueties of the property as opposed to state the obvious and take the client on a "tour"...(*some may do this..many don`t..)..In addition i would give feedback to the client and make the requisite suggestions..."Your villa isn`t selling BECAUSE..."..."What you need to do to increase chance of sale IS.."

Let me say this with absolute conviction..ANY villa over 3million Euros that DOESN`T have all the toys is struggling before the picture of it goes on that real estators website...

Todays high end buyer WILL pay top dollar even in today`s market IF that property can be seen to be "special"...

This is well known in the U.S...it needs to be more embraced in Europe ...

We are fortunately-very busy,but our business has been gained by hard work and quality of work/service..we are not sitting twiddling our thumbs lamenting the market....

Frankly I am stunned that an easy opportunity for commission business is being lost by Real Estators not making the right suggests to the client to hold the property price and increase the chance of sale by inserting "x"..?

What makes more sense..spending 50k to get 4million or losing 200k on the asking price because you don`t spend 50k?

And anyone that doesn`t think a great basement entertainment area..or custom cinema..or even muti room a.v. distribution and Home Automation-or ALL these things, doesn`t increase the chance of sale is completely mental.

The very best homes have ALL these things-and this in great part justifies the "unique" price....

So MY aim is to make ALL these properties over 1million offer perceived value to the buyer of something far more expensive...to increase the chance of sale..BY..successful technological development...that`s what we are talking about....

.The proof of the pudding?...There are NO properties languishing on a real estators website without at least much interest, that have a Projectiondreams Cinema in them..funny that eh?

So if the cap fits..to those real estators that offer no ingenuity other than "You need to drop the price"..WAKE UP.....grasp the opportunities...work with Projectiondreams and let us help you and your clients MAXIMISE the sale...we shall ALL earn more money...

RACISM IN THE PORTUGESE AUDIO VIDEO WORLD

Hello Folks,
Recently I heard of quite an insulting & shocking statement from someone in the Portugese Audio Video market..

It was quote:- " I employ Portugese people"..said like he was doing them a favour....

To me this is like saying...I`m not racist I have a black friend..

I have never been racist or nationalistic..to me what`s important is if a man is a good man..or a woman a good woman -what geographical location they come from is frankly irrelevant.

What counts when Projectiondreams employ somebody is IF they are the best qualified person for the job.

I deplore companies that come to Portugal and are not interested in the Portugese market but make a point about employing Portugese people as almost a "concession"...these people are hypocrites and do this whilst focusing primarily on non Portugese markets.

I have installed all over the world and sold equipment all over the world for many years..my customers are all over the world..they are customers all and IF they are enthusiasts interested in Audio video that`s good enough for me!

I have since heard that this person treats his staff abominably wherever they come from-so at least there is some consistency & equality to all..:-)
