Having now lived in the Algarve for 15 years,having built Projectiondreams to become the number one Audio Video company in Europe..i feel fairly qualified to make some observations to ANY customer thinking of having high quality work done on their house'or indeed building their house.

BE CAREFUL....
The Algarve is populated by the inept, con artists,people who have reinvented themselves,fake companys,charity cons,companies charging top dollar for Chinese rubbish and so on..
Carefully check out the company you choose,do they have any previous pedigree?..Any checkable history?..Have they changed their trading name numerous times?..Check out their website..is what they say accurate?...Do they really have other tangible locations or are they virtual address\s?
Do they have a demonstration facility?..Are they an LDA company?
Question the motives of those that recommend that company to you..chances are they are on commission..so they will recommend the devil if they get paid..
The customer won`t get the best choices but the recommender will get the best commission!
That doesnt ensure you get the best job....,,,
To get the best job?..trust your OWN judgement..go and see that company that is recommended BEFORE you engage..do not trust that just because the interior designer is decent ..the building company they recommend will be or vice versa...
Do not think that because a brand is well known it is the best..sometimes if everyone sells the same thing that just means the margin is good or the distributor that supplies them all is pushing that product on them...compare for yourself and always err towards the innovative,the unique...

...because i didnt see old Quintas tackled in a quality manner..everyone frightened to death to put technology in them..this is outside of the remit of sterile modern villas thrown up by greedy developers using an army of East Europeans ...then the customer has some inept "Audio Video" company (translates to Pedro ,,the builders mate) throwing in some Chinese automation that nobody has heard of....
..And guess what?..2 years later we are pulling this out for the customer who is so fed up with this rubbish he realises too late, hes been fleeced...
Projectiondreams have traded for 19 years now..achieved industry number ones since 1999..THX and ISF approved,SMPTE and CEDIA affiliated...same name all that time..steady growth throughout ..even in the recession....
Now we have opened a third showroom because we have done well..and our customers have had a great job..thats what i call a good deal...professional job for a fair price for professional people who want to enjoy those facets of Entertainment that a great company can introduce into their lives...
In the immortal words of Del Trotter.."Everyones a winner"...
We have always appealed directly to the customer through advertising and website..and of course word of mouth..i dont need the recommendations of the inept and i wont play the backhanders game...
I will define those companies i value and want to work with,,money wont change my mind...this is why i setup ELITE TRADERS...to vet companies and create a collective of terrific companies to assist the customer in their buying choices.

I have but one aim..and that is through quality work,pedigree and validation to SHOW customers what is possible..so come and see and rest assured that the solutions we offer will be the best ..the people we recommend will be the best..and as someone that project managed worldwide for over 20 years for Blu chip companies before i started Projectiondreams..and won industry awards that i can produce on request..i will confidently say that NOBODY in the Algarve can run a schedule on budget and in time of any type better than i...whether its a Cinema build or a house build...
Thats not arrogance thats confidence based on proven experience.
The pedigree of ANY company must start at the very top and that quality ethos permeate every aspect of what is done...
